Beim Tertio Millennio Film Festival 2024 wurde ES GEHT UM LUIS mit dem Novi Sguardi Jurypreis ausgezeichnet und erhielt zudem eine ehrenvolle Erwähnung von der interreligiösen Jury.

Die Jurybegründung: “The work is characterized by its minimalist yet powerful narrative, rich in symbolism, Its strength also lies in the surprising narrative decision not to let the protagonist of the story, the child Luis, appear, whose presence is revealed through the dialogues and the often contradictory decisions of his parents, making his absence an element with great emotional impact. The device of invisibility invites the viewer to reflect on the weight of family dynamics and the importance of parental choices, reinforcing the sense of responsibility and introspection that permeates the entire story.”
